Counseling Services

I specialize in working with teens and young adults in the upstate of South Carolina navigating grief, life-transitions, or career decision-making. My goal as a therapist is to learn from you, work with you, and allow you the space to feel comfortable enough to completely be yourself.

What to expect

Grief Counseling

As someone who has experienced significant loss and life-altering experiences myself, I get it. No loss is identical, but the feelings surrounding loss can be shared and understood. My goal is to help you grieve in a positive way and then learn healthy coping skills to carry that grief with you. We don’t “move on” and forget, but we move forward allowing ourselves to remember our loved ones an honor them.

Life Transitions

Entering into adulthood, navigating college, choosing a career, grieving the death of a loved one, going through a relationship shift, adjusting to a move… all these and more are the many changes life can throw at us in which we need to adapt. I will provide a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach which will help you learn the skills you need to navigate these seasons of uncertainty. My goal is to empower you in your journey- wherever you may be- one step at a time.

Career Counseling

Sometimes we can just feel downright confused when it comes to choosing a career path. Whether you’re choosing a college major or navigating a career-change, you may benefit from career counseling. Having a professional to guide you can help ease some of the overwhelm that come with these significant life choices. I believe a career should be something that enhances your quality of life and matches with your interests and abilities. It would be my honor to help you take steps toward finding that.

Career counseling will involve a structured approach consisting of 3 portions:

  1. An initial consultation where I will gather information and seek to understand your unique situation.
  2. I will administer in-depth assessments that will help you gain clarity on your goals.
  3. We will examine your assessment results together and evaluate next steps.

Integration

Something you should know about me is that I hold a biblical framework for the way I process the world around me. What this looks like in my work as a counselor is the ability for me to incorporate Christian faith into our sessions if desired. While I’m open to seeing clients of varying faith backgrounds, my faith in God directs my work as a therapist.
