Recently, I was having a conversation with a friend about our current life stages- where we are currently in life and where we want to be. As women, we so often speak in future tense, dreaming about the “one-days,” one day this, and one day that. Don’t get me wrong, hopes and dreams for the future are a good thing! But if I’m not careful, I can let myself be swept away in a fantasy of believing that my life will be better once my dreams are fulfilled.

Wow, okay Kaitlyn. That’s a harsh way to start a blog post!
It’s true though. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of the ideology which is rampant in our culture today that says you have all you need inside yourself. It’s the messages that say you can do it all on your own. If you just believe in yourself more… if you just search deeper inside yourself… if you just speak positive affirmations over yourself.
A Reflection

It’s interesting, as I’ve been reflecting over this past year… on what’s been both hard and good… I realized that the most difficult times were also the times that brought me the most joy!
